Butterbeer signing in again!

Of course, I have not spent nearly a tenth as much as I would like to. Frankly, I have not spent any time being faithful here as you know. Let us just say that my excuse is the typical – Muggle education has completely dominated my entire life! Fortunately it is Winter break now, the time to make up for my slackness. And trust me, this will most definitely compensate – the Harry Potter Wizard’s Collection box.

September 7 2012, an amazing box of all the Harry Potter items you could have ever dreamed of will be released for the price of $499.99. Considering that this contains 31 discs of the movies (2D AND 3D), Special Features, never-before-seen footage and the 8-part series “Creating the World of Harry Potter” (“Story” and “Growing Up”), PLUS the most amazing collection of Harry Potter memorabilia which can only be found in this very collection, this is most certainly worth the money. However, if you would prefer to pre-order the Harry Potter Wizard’s Collection (as I am sure you would!) by 31 July, then you will only have to pay a low $349.96. This will be a one-in-a-lifetime chance, so do not forget about it or you will miss out on the most amazing, beautifully-designed merchandise EVER with hours of footage you have never-seen-before.

However, I have one important note to make…: I am not completely sure if you get ALL of the merchandise mentioned below in the box – this is not specified on any of the websites I have visited. What I AM sure about though, is that this is stuff you can only get in the Harry Potter Wizard’s Collection.

Here are a few websites to scour to get an idea of what this is seriously worth:

The website says that there will be a map of Hogwarts. I can’t be sure about that but it is probably true… It’s just that I have not really seen any proof for that but we will find out anyway! 🙂

This is what some of the things look like…:

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s/Sorcerer’s Stone:

4 discs including: 1) Theatrical and extended versions on Blu-ray

2) Theatrical version on DVD

3) Special Features on DVD

The Harry Potter page on Facebook has left out the Deathly Hallows, but you get the idea with the discs!

Below are pictures of the exclusive authentic merchandise:

The Harry Potter Catalogue of Artefacts – This 48-page rigid book was created by MinaLima Design: Eduardo Lima, Miraphora Mina and Lauren Wakefield, former graphic designers on the Harry Potter films. Filled with their favorite props from the films designed in “shadow boxes,” this stunning catalogue can only be found in the Harry Potter Wizard’s Collection.

Harry Potter Label Collection – This 32-page, 5” x 7” perfect-bound collection of prop labels from the films was designed exclusively for this collection by MinaLima Design. The book includes labels from potions, memory vials, Honeydukes and Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes.

Harry Potter Wizard’s Collection Certificate of Authenticity – This 8” x 10” certificate was designed by Mina Lima Design and inspired by the Hogwarts Express train ticket seen in the films. Each framable certificate is uniquely numbered.

Stuart Craig Sketch Prints – The collection includes a series of 5” x 7” concept sketches from Harry Potter production designer Stuart Craig. Each print bears his signature.

Concept Art Prints – These eight 8” x 10” concept art prints are suitable for framing. Printed on high-quality paper, these prints represent some of the finest concept art created for the films.

Apparently there’s a map of Hogwarts, like I said above.

So hopefully that will keep you guys interested for a while! 🙂

The convenient thing is that it is my BIRTHDAY TOMORROW!!!!

B-) Maybe this might be ordered for my birthday, I’m not sure, but I did give a hint to my mum, although I am happy to pay for it myself… Anything to get it! 😀

Well I am now venturing into the beginning of the Prisoner of Azkaban, and speaking of that, I wouldn’t mind discovering my Patronus!

One way of discovering your Patronus is to Portkey to Facebook, log in and search for the Harry Potter Patronus app. Who knows what yours may be? It could be a stag like Harry and James Potter, or a doe like Severus Snape and Lily Potter, or a hare like Luna, an otter like Hermione, a weasel like Ron and Arthur Weasley, a horse like Ginny or if you get lucky maybe even a phoenix like Professor Albus Dumbledore.

Well that’s enough for now to keep you guys busy, so I will make another post later on in the week.

Butterbeer signing off!

Just a Heads-Up…

Just a Heads-Up…

I decided to change this blog to “A Break with a Bit o’ Butterbeer”, as I THINK it makes more sense instead of “A Bite with a Bit o’ Butterbeer”. Well, I think it should make more sense to you guys…

Let me know what you think! (and I was just wondering if it is still too much of a mouthful… o.O)

Hello fellow friends! 😛

So, tomorrow afternoon I am leaving for America, and I was thinking about a blog, and what I should name it, and I thought about Travelling, and then I thought about Travelling with Trolls, and then… BLANK. ________

Yep. You thought i was going to be soooo AMAZING, and now u r disappointed, and so am I. 😦

So, just let me think for a while…

Adventures in America!

Yeah, that’s good… Ok thanks for your help!

But now I will explain about the site…: There will be no mention of magic in this blog, as the part where I go the HARRY POTTER THEME PARK will be in this blog, so it makes sense in the way I write.

I will not be able to blog everyday and probably won’t for the whole trip ( 😥 ) BUT as it is going to be a small blog, it will contain notices on all the places I visit. Okydoky?

There will be a new page ALL about the theme park.

Anyway, I’d start making that blog with only a day left!

Farewell! 😛

Magical Moment!!!!!!! :P

To alll people of this cyber world…

Now is the magical moment where I have used my transfiguration spells (hemhem wordpress settings… :P) to officially transform magicaldeluxesugarquills into…

(magic drumroll…)

A Bite with a Bit o’ Butterbeer!” [:P I like butterbeer. :P] (and no the segment in the square-ish brackets is not part of the title, including this)

Enjoy this moment everyone! Because I am. 😛

Anyway, I need to go, so here I am signing off for now:

p.s. pls tell me what u think of the new title

Some people I noticed, are a little strange. For example: why have people searched ‘mary grandpre’ in my blog when I have no idea what/who that is and my blog is not related to anything like that at all.

Anyway, just something I felt like letting you know…

Well, it’s time for some shuteye now so goodnight! 😛

Crazy Comments

Hello bloggers,

Recently someone named “chio blog” felt like posting a comment…: “To be as hungry as a horse” and then put a link to their own blog. Can people please not do that? It’s kind of like spamming.

However, chio blog either seems to be German or studying it as his/her blog is just… a blog of boggling German! So, maybe this person does not know English very well, but if this person does, I really do not appreciate confusing comments. They make me go crazy. Thank you.

Happy Magical New Year!

Hello everybody,

I would just like to say at this early time in the morning of the first day of January 2012…

And may all the rest that follow be just as good or better! 😛

Now I need to tuck in for the night so ‘good night sleep tight!’ 😛

Finite Incantatem

I hope you guys are all enjoying your holidays and your christmas presents! Anyway…

As the New Year is coming up, that means it is time for a little bit of change here in magicaldeluxesugarquills. How? By simplifying our blog name into something a little less of a mouthful, a catchy name. So here could you please put up your suggestions?

So far I have four:

-Butterbeer 😛
-The Daily Prophet…
-The Quibbler
-Magic is Might

Any ideas? Please put them up by New Year’s (1st of Jan 2012). If not, then the 2nd of 2012. THen, at the VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY latest, the 12th of 2012.

This is just going to be your ‘Christmas’ present, so sit back, put your feet up and relax.

Here is a great website you’ll love, all the craft and news is here:

The Leaky Cauldron

Here is the official Harry Potter website created by the author, Jo (anne) K. Rowling herself! You are not able to sign up yet, but you are still able to receive some info on what’s going on…:

Pottermore by J.K.Rowling

You should watch the opening video, it’s really cool…

This is the Insider if you didn’t figure out how to get there:

The Pottermore Insider

Did you know that Rowling wrote other books apart from the Harry Potter series? They are Harry Potter related too. There are three:

“The Tales of Beedle the Bard”
“Quidditch Through the Ages”
“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by Newt Scamander”

Have you heard of “Harry Potter Puppet Pals” or “Potter Puppet Pals”? They are hilarious. They hold puppet shows that are parodies of Harry Potter film/book scenes or shows created by their own imagination. Check out their website and watch their clips, they are famous throughout the world and completely hilarious, so go laugh your head off! I warn you though, some have swear words and are not as great…:

I hope you have enjoyed everything!

It is Christmas Eve! Phew! FINALLY up to date.

Now this is one of those really awesome posts. Not super-awesome, it’s Merlin-wicked-awesomated.

Here goes:

On June 18th 2011, Orlando, Florida, the Universal Orlando Resort, something fantastic, Harry Potter and magical, opened. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park.

This Harry Potter theme park takes on the look of the popular wizarding village, Hogsmeade, and also Hogwarts Castle itself. The place is laiden snow, and trust me, you will have the time of your LIFE there.

These are the two sites I got the info from:

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Only At Universal Orlando Resort

Price Lists:

I also got some info from the WHO magazine article about the opening of the theme park in 2010.

There are 3 rides:

*Dragon Challenge:

“Marvel at the blazing Goblet of Fire and the shining Triwizard Cup as you take on the Dragon Challenge. Choose your ‘dragon’: an aggressive Chinese Fireball or a ferocious Hungarian Horntail. Each ‘dragon’ is completely different!”

Then it’s time to take a “training flight” aboard the Flight of the Hippogriff, an enchanting family coaster woven from wicker and decorated with fluttering leaves representing feathers. Bow as you approach the ‘real’ Hippogriff, and then you’re spiralling and diving around the pumpkin patch, and swooping past Hagrid’s Hut.”

Funnily enough…

For Christmas, I am going with my mother to Orlando for 10 days in let January! SO awesome. I got $250 American from my grandmother and auntie, but I doubt that’s enough money… 😛

Well, sorry for the delay of publication. 😛 The post’s here now though, so all good!

Merry Xmas!

Hello everyone!

I hope you are having an awesome day and enjoying your presents!

The Belated Magical 5th Day

To all bloggers interested in what I have to bring to you in this belated 5th section of this magical week…,

If you want to buy yourself, a Harry Potter crazy friend (e.g. me 😛 I haven’t got Hogwarts Express yet… nah don’t worry I’m just joking around) or whoever a late Christmas present, then you can never go wrong with Harry Potter lego! 😛

You should check out the official website:

Harry Potter Lego Official Website

If this lucky person who you are giving Harry Potter lego to already has a few Harry Potter Lego sets, then you had better find out which sets you can buy and if there are any left! (only one in my case :P)
Have a look here:

Harry Potter Lego Products

You can also check the prices and order if you would like. 😛

I have a kinda short story about ordering Harry Potter lego:

A few months ago, I ordered 4 Harry Potter Lego sets: Diagon Alley, Hogwarts Castle (whichever, it’s the big one), Freeing Dobby and the Quidditch Match. The total cost was $515. A few weeks ago I finished them as I had end of year school exams, and I have to tell you, it was really worth it. You should definitely get Diagon Alley as it has GLOW-IN-THE-DARK LEGO!!!!!!! How awesome is that? It’s really something to see.

Anyway, this is the website I ordered from. I totally recommend it because the delivery was like 1, 2, BAM. Can’t’ve taken more than a week. So here it is:

Justbricks Lego

Awesome Lego Website

I also like this site because it has the music which creates a good, lively, Harry-Potter-magical mood. 😛

Harry Potter Lego: Pick a Brick

I don’t know if it’s because I’m watching Christmas Carols but I feel really excited about lego and Christmas and Harry Potter and magic and blogging and this magical week and the magical days and the speed I am typing at right now and I do not want to stop yes I am very excited ok merry christmas I hope you had a very magical, merry, awesome time looking through those websites, because, when I say they are awesome, they ARE awesome, just like when Ron told Harry on the Hogwarts Express in the Philosopher’s Stone through a mouthful of sweets and lollies while opening a packet of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans, “When they say every flavour, they mean every flavour”!

Well. Merry Christmas to all my great Muggle friends and magical friends you are all awesome even if you don’t have a wand and I know, yes, everyone wants a wand for god’s sake who wouldn’t?

Ads now! Ok I’ll try to calm down. Merlin’s Beard it’s 5 past 11 pm! Nearly Christmas Day! Santa’s coming in his sleigh full of reindeer… 😛

Well, I should probably wrap up this section right now! 😛

Finite Incantatem!

Merry Christmas Eve!

Apparently, Akismet has protected my site from 1 spam comment already. But I want to know what the spam comment was! Someone tell me???

Welcome Fellow Bloggers to another Belated Magical Day!

This is the 4th section of this magical week, and it is really something. But, I am probably posting this way too late. Well…

On the 19th of November, a very special thing happened in the city of Sydney: the Powerhouse Museum opened the Harry Potter exhibition. It. Was. AWESOME.

Anyway. At the opening, Jamie and Oliver Phillips (the actors who have the role of Fred and George Weasley) came to celebrate this event. The tickets for that night were very expensive, but not as much now it has been going on for a while.

Anyhow, in the exhibition, you will:

-See Mr.Weasley’s flying Ford Anglia and a duplicate of the Hogwarts Express
-See lots of real props, such as the sword of Gryffindor, Buckbeak, wands, Dementors, the Angel of Death statue, the Deathly Hallows, an Acromantula and much much more!
-See loads of costumes: Quidditch costumes, Beauxbaton Academy, Durmstrang, Yule Ball dress robes, staff robes, Death Eater robes and more!
-Throw Quaffles through the goal hoops in the ‘Quidditch pitch’
-Watch trailers, interviews, scenes from the movies and magical oil paintings
-Have a photo and buy it for $20 in its Harry Potter edited version
-So much more stuff I cannot even type down
-Visit places

Right. Now nothing, I repeat, NOTHING in the shop will be cheap. The cheapest price is $5, so bring LOADS of money. And I am talking about at least $100, because I spent $125 and now I wish I had bought more Chocolate Frogs. 😦

Well, here are the costs I remember:

Chocolate Frogs with Collectible Wizard Cards – $5
Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans – $5
Hedwig Bookmark – $5
Movie Scene Character Bookmark – $5
Wand-Pen and Bookmark – $12
Harry Potter Photo of yourself – $20
Harry Potter Exhibition Guide Book – $25 (I think)
Black Hogwarts Cap – $25
Note: I think House beanies and scarves are around $25. Just a guess.
Black Hogwarts Tote Bag – $35
Harry Potter Album Cover to go with your Photo – $40
Red Gryffindor T-Shirt Women’s Small – $40
Note on T-shirts: I think they are all the same price or with a difference of $5 or $10. The house
T-shirts have their house crest on it. The background can be in the house colour or white.
Black Hogwarts Hoodies – $40 (I think)
Marauder’s Map – $50 (I think)

You can also buy wands but I didn’t look hard to see the price. I think the black Quidditch T-shirts may have been $40 as well. Anyway, it was awesome. Now, something even more awesome, but it is unfortunately to tell you right now. Well, last night and tonight the powerhouse museum have organised a SLEEPOVER AT THE EXHIBITION FOR CHILDREN AGED 5-14.

But, I’m not rich so unfortunately, I couldn’t go. Well click here to see the details.

When you go, remember: bring an overflowing wallet and maybe even one of your Harry Potter costumes for the Photo. 😛

Have fun!

Oh, and before we move on… I wouldn’t mind to trade some of my money for your Chocolate Frogs. 😛 I only bought 3, you see. 😛

If you are at the exhibition right now, tell me what it is like, because you are one lucky duck.

Goodnight sleep tight and I hope you’ll wake up to a wonderful Christmas morning tomorrow! 😛 And you are extra lucky if you get to see snow outside your window. I’ve only ever seen it on TV, unfortunately. In fact, I am watching Carols by Candlelight right now on Channel 9 and it was ‘snowing’. Can people tell me what snow is like and how cold it is if you have gear on and what snowball fights are like and building snowmen…
Well, no more of my rambling. Have an awesome Christmas, enjoy the lunch and dinner and your presents! Merry Magical Christmas Eve! 😛
